Baba Foods — Dual-Channel Commerce & Operational System

Baba Foods is a Finnish family-owned producer of Eastern Mediterranean plant-based foods. As wholesale demand increased and operations became more complex, the company required a digital system capable of supporting both B2B and B2C sales, customer management, and internal process efficiency. We delivered a structured commerce platform integrating wholesale functionality, consumer sales, and AI-assisted operational workflows.

Context

Baba Foods operates across two commercial channels:

  • Wholesale clients such as retailers and distributors

  • Direct-to-consumer customers

The previous website did not support structured wholesale ordering and required manual administrative handling of orders and customer communication.

As volumes increased, operational friction increased.

The objective was to build a single digital environment that could:

Developed a structured WooCommerce-based system separating:

  • B2B wholesale store with account-based access and custom pricing

  • Public B2C storefront for individual consumers

Both operate within the same system but with clearly defined purchasing logic.

  • Flags urgent matters for prioritised handling

  • Reduces response time and manual workload

The AI layer supports the team operationally without replacing human oversight.
